Michael Cornelison, DPM
Dr. Michael Cornelison, is an advanced reconstructive foot surgery specialist who emphasizes preventive care for his Santa Clara County patients. The practice treats a wide range of foot conditions, including Achilles tendonitis, bunions, heel pain, arch strains and more. Dr. Cornelison can also create individualized treatment programs to help his patients recover quickly and efficiently.
Dr. Cornelison graduated as valedictorian from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1997. He completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Virginia in 2000, receiving the John Grad Memorial Award as its outstanding graduate that year. He has been practicing in Cupertino, California since 2000, and was President of Cupertino Podiatry, Inc. from 2003 to 2018, up until its merger with Foot and Ankle Associates in Los Gatos, California in 2018.
Dr. Cornelison is currently President-Elect of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the organization representing podiatrists who are board certified in foot and ankle surgery. He is Past-Chief of the Department of Podiatric Medicine at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, and is Past-President of the Santa Clara Valley Podiatric Medical Society. In addition, Dr. Cornelison is a clinical faculty member of the Primary Sports Medicine Fellowship of the San Jose-O’Connor Family Medicine Residency Program.
