Sarah Cullen, DPM
As a new associate, Dr. Cullen brings a lifelong passion for athletics and understands the importance of returning patients to pain-free activity as soon as possible. She is a prior collegiate softball pitcher and longtime athlete and has endured many lower extremity injuries requiring medical treatment. Her experiences have helped drive her dedication to the field of podiatry as well as devotion to her patients. She also is a third-generation podiatric surgeon and is excited to follow in her family’s footsteps to continue the family legacy.
Dr. Cullen earned her B.A. at Bates College in Lewiston, ME. She then worked as a laboratory technician at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Cancer Center while simultaneously completing...
Dr. Cullen obtained her doctorate at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She then earned her surgical diploma subspecializing in reconstructive and revisional foot and ankle surgery in Boston, Massachusetts at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, an affiliate of Tufts University. As a resident, she served as an academic coordinator and chief resident. She is fortunate to have trained with some of the most well-renowned surgical practitioners in both podiatric surgery and orthopedic trauma. She is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Cullen is residing in Charleston, South Carolina with her fiancé Dr. Drennan Josey, who is also a podiatric physician at Associated Foot & Ankle Specialists. Although she is a native to the Boston area, she already feels at home in Charleston living near friends and family. She enjoys beach walks, playing with her dog Sully and cat Frank, cooking, playing pickup sports and camping in her free time. She also loves volunteering in the community and has worked multiple years at the Boston Marathon in the medical tent as well as for homeless shelters in Philadelphia. Dr. Cullen is staffed at Roper/St.Francis Hospital, as well as the Low Country Ambulatory Surgical Center.
